形態特徵

Woody vine, branches quadrate, pubescent.
Leaves coriaceous or subcoriaceous, elliptic to oblong, (9.4-)10.4–13.4(–15.8) cm long, (4.6-)5.1–7.3(–8.8) cm broad, apex acuminate, base rounded or slightly cordate, hirsute on both surfaces; petioles short or sessile, 3–6(–10) mm long, pubescent; stipules large, bifid, subpubescent.
Flowers in globose head, pubescent, (1.6-)2.4–4.7 cm in diam., pedunculate; bracts 5, densely pubescent, persistent; corolla slender, funnelform, 10–13 mm long, 4–5-lobed; stamens short; styles long-exserted, 18–20 mm long.
Capsules bottle- to broadly spindle-form, dark brown or brownish-red, 15–18 mm long, 4–7 mm in diam. Seeds many, minute, winged.
